Useful Health Tips

Drink enough water

Drinking fluids regularly lowers the concentration of salts in the urine and reduces stones and urinary infections. Aim for pale urine.

Never ignore blood in the urine

Blood in the urine, even once and without pain, needs a doctor’s visit to find the cause and decide which tests are needed.

Do not hold urine for long periods

Constantly delaying urination can increase infections and strain the bladder. Pass urine when you need to.

No antibiotics without advice

Random antibiotic use can mask the problem and produce resistant bacteria. Have a urine test and culture and follow what your doctor prescribes.

Kidney pain with fever is an emergency

If kidney colic comes with a fever or the urine stops, go to the nearest emergency department straight away.

Check children early

An undescended testicle or repeated urinary infections in a child need to be seen by a paediatric urologist without delay.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an appointment with the doctor?
Press the “Book” button to open WhatsApp with a ready message, call us directly, or leave your name and number in the “Write to us” form at the bottom of the page and we will contact you to arrange the appointment.
What are the opening hours?
Our opening hours are shown in the “Contact” section at the bottom of the page. Booking in advance is recommended to avoid waiting.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring any previous lab tests, scans or medical reports and a list of the medicines you currently take with their doses; they make diagnosis and follow-up easier.
What does a urologist treat?
A urologist diagnoses and treats diseases of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and urethra, including stones, infections, tumours and urethral stricture, as well as paediatric urology and male reproductive and andrology surgery.
Does endoscopic laser stone surgery need incisions?
In many cases the stone is reached through the urethra with a telescope without any surgical incision, while large or complex stones sometimes need a small opening in the flank. The doctor chooses the most suitable approach after examination and imaging.
Do I need tests before the visit?
Not necessarily. Bring any recent tests or scans you have; otherwise the doctor decides after the examination which urine tests, ultrasound, imaging or other tests are needed.
How much is the consultation?
Consultation and follow-up fees are set at the clinic according to the type of service. Please ask by phone or WhatsApp before booking.
Are my details and medical information confidential?
Yes. Your details are used only to contact you, arrange your appointment and follow up your case, and are not shared with anyone else. See the Privacy Policy page for details.
What should I do in an emergency?
WhatsApp and the contact form are not for emergencies. If you cannot pass urine, have sudden severe testicular pain, kidney colic with a fever, or heavy bleeding, call an ambulance (123 in Egypt) or go straight to the nearest emergency department.
